It is an experiential journey and starting point for learning energetic healing. Participants are certified in Level One Usui Reiki once complete. Not just an informational or lecture class, students are given hands-on time under the guidance of a Reiki Master to experience Reiki.
Cost for the course is $185. Pre-registration is required for this class and two textbooks are required (not included in the registration fee): Essential Reiki by Diane Stein and To Be Healed by the Earth by Dr. Warren Grossman. What does writing a book have to do with healing? Everything!
It’s not only possible to write a book in a weekend; “Book Whisperer” Tom Bird has taught more than 80,000 aspiring authors how to do just that. His inspiring method will help you unlearn all the inappropriate information--the clutter--that’s been holding you back, and will show you how to get to that “writing place” where you can write from a centered, heartfelt connection. Where the words come pouring out almost faster than you can keep up with. Retreat participants average more than 2,000 words an hour, or about 16,000 words a day. Considering that most books published today are around 45,000 words, yes, you can get that all down on paper over the course of a weekend. Several people have said to me, "I just don't believe you can write and publish a book in a weekend." And they're right. No book worth reading has ever been published without revisions and editing (even Jack Kerouac had an editor). But for many people--like me--the hardest part is the first step, getting it ALL down on paper. For me, the opportunity to complete a first draft is too good to miss. That's why I'll be at Tom Bird’s Write Your Publishable Book in a Weekend Retreat, October 6-8, 2012 in Atlanta. The Atlanta retreat is sponsored by local author and life coach Patrice Dickey: <pdcom@mindspring.com> or 404-294-9333. And right now, there’s a special offer: The first 30 who register by Friday, June 1 receive $700 off! In other words, you can attend the entire weekend for $795, nearly half off the regular price of $1495. Here’s what Patrice has to say about it: “True Confession-- “It took me more than 20 years to get over myself enough to write and publish my first book. “Oh the agonies I put myself through--and it didn't have to be that way! “In fact the only reason I was able to actually go the distance and finish was my writing mentor Tom Bird's stream of consciousness technique which helped me shut off the Inner Critic and just GET IT DOWN ON PAPER. “Probably 85% of all people have a book in them. “At the very least, you have your story which you may want to write down as a legacy for family members--or perhaps use as a platform for your expertise. “I'm sponsoring Tom Bird's next Atlanta "Write Your Publishable Book in a Weekend Retreat" October 6-8, 2012 over Columbus Day weekend at the Comfort Inn & Suites Atlanta Airport North on Virginia Avenue, and here to remind you of this wonderful half-off rate, now extended through Friday June 1 ONLY. Already 1/3 of these spaces are gone! “The first 30 who register for the retreat by June 1 receive $700 off the regular investment. I've believed in Tom's amazing, heart-centered writing method since my first book, BACK TO THE GARDEN: Getting from Shadow to Joy, won five inspirational awards after being mentored by him. I have since sold thousands of copies of that book for thousands of dollars. “Want particular info on the retreat? In February I did the retreat in Scottsdale, AZ, and some stories that had been caught in my heart for DECADES came flowing out. It was an amazing experience, and now I'm deep into the revision! “Check out Tom's retreat page on his website Tom Bird to see what's included. “Need a payment plan, no problem. Just give Tom's office a call at 928-203-0265 and they'll be happy to work with you. Or call me at 404-294-9333 or email <pdcom@mindspring.com> and I'll answer any questions I can. “Don't need a payment plan, no problem either. You can register for the retreat either online via the above link by entering the discount code of 0795 upon checking out, or you can register by calling Tom's office. Or I'll handle your arrangements for you. “Those who take advantage of this offer who register before June 1 and don't need a payment plan will receive a free advance copy of Tom's latest book (to be released this summer) currently titled The Write Your Book in a Weekend Way of Life ($24.95 value). “If you want to join us in Atlanta, don't wait. These discounted spaces go fast and this offer will not be repeated. Take action now and register! Tom Bird Atlanta Retreat “PS--Experts who use their book as a platform find promoting their expertise much easier --and more credible. “Here's the link again: Tom Bird Atlanta Retreat “PPS--Have you thought about leaving YOUR legacy in writing? Go for it. You know that unless you MAKE THE TIME using a proven method, it'll just be one of those big sighs of regret over leaving it undone. The time for action is NOW.” Can you tell that Patrice is excited about this method? When I heard about this event, I got very excited myself. Maybe that's because I have four or five unfinished novels rattling around in my head, and need a jumpstart like this to get them down on paper. If your own inner author (fiction or non-fiction) has been crying to be let out, this might be helpful for you, too. Or if you know someone else who's been looking for a way to get into--and stay in--"the Author's Zone State," please feel free to forward this information to them. Thanks! “Because [protein] receptors [on the cell membrane] can read energy fields, the notion that only physical molecules can impact cell physiology is outmoded. Biological behavior can be controlled by invisible forces, including thought. as well as it can be controlled by physical molecules like penicillin, a fact that provides the scientific underpinning for pharmaceutical-free energy medicine.”
— Bruce H. Lipton, M.D., The Biology of Belief One of my clients in my other line of work (freelance writing) recently asked me, “What is Reiki?” I found it interesting because his own daughter does Reiki. I gave him my stock answer, and it seemed to satisfy his curiosity. But then I got to thinking: what’s a better way to explain it? Reiki is Energy, but what does that mean? What is it really about? Reiki is about Alignment. Not physical, bone-crunching spinal adjustment, but energy alignment. Clearing and opening the flow of energy. When your energy is aligned, the cells in your body “talk” to each other, as Bruce Lipton’s book The Biology of Belief so aptly explains. Energy alignment means your digestive system organs are all communicating with each other and working together (you know what it feels like when they’re in opposition). Your immune system is smoothly coordinating all your body’s defense mechanisms. Your natural sleep rhythms are restored. Beyond your physical body, energy alignment brings you in tune with the natural environment. You are in balance. What Reiki isn’t is a “quick fix.” i wish I could say that one Reiki session would restore balance for the rest of your life. But as we all know, things go out of balance all the time. Reiki is one of many methods of restoring balance. How often you might want a Reiki “tune-up” depends on how out of balance you feel. And how in touch you are with how you really feel. Some people might be in the flow for months at a time; others change from day to day. One excellent way to bring yourself into Alignment is to learn how to do Reiki. The teachers who taught me, at anaturalpath.org, will be starting Level I Reiki classes early next year. I highly recommend them. If you can’t wait that long to get yourself back into balance, give me a call. If you're like a lot of people I know, you're holding out till the last minute to finish and file your tax return with Uncle Sam. How stressful! That's where both Reiki and Reflexology can help.
Reiki is ideal for helping you get your stress level under control. It helps you relax and get back in touch with your natural body rhythms. And Reiki can help alleviate:
Similarly, Foot Reflexology combines gentle stretching and compression to help reduce stress, improve circulation and move lymph -- your body's natural detoxifier. Reflexology creates relaxation almost immediately -- just ask my clients! It improves blood flow to the feet, brain, kidneys and intestines (some of the places that absorb excessive stress). Reflexology, like Reiki, helps alleviate pain and headaches, depression and anxiety. Both these healing techniques are excellent for moving "stuck energy" to help bring your body back into balance energetically. As you return to balance, this opens a window for self-healing. And that's a real "after-tax" benefit! Introductory offer ends May 1 New to Reiki or Reflexology? Take advantage of this special introductory offer: book your first visit in either technique, and your second visit is FREE! You can also make an appointment to try both Reflexology and Reiki in one session and get two for the price of one! But remember, this offer is good through May 1 only. So please don't hesitate -- call 404-406-5204 today! |
